Meet Dr. Keen
Dr. Keen graduated dental school from the University of Western Ontario, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry in 1999. Dr. Keen graduated first in his class, and was awarded many scholarship awards including the Gold Medal Award from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons for his #1 ranking. Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Keen was granted early acceptance to several dental schools in the nation after completing his undergraduate studies in just 2 years. Dr. Keen was the youngest graduate in his dental school. Upon completing his 4-year general dental training at the University of Western Ontario, earning his D.D.S. degree with top honors, Dr. Keen then went on to complete an advanced specialty degree in Prosthodontics at UCLA, and a concurrent Master's degree, M.S., in Oral Biology and Implant Dentistry research.
Dr. Keen has been a dentist for 20 years, and holds certificates and licenses to practice dentistry in 2 countries, the United States and Canada. Dr. Keen has lectured and given presentations internationally and nationally, and held a faculty position at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Keen has had affiliations with many professional dental organizations, and he has given presentations for the IADR (International Association for Dental Research), the AO (Academy of Osseointegration), the EAO (European Association of Osseointegration), the ACP (American College of Prosthodontics), the APS (American Prosthodontic Society) and many more.
In addition to his vast array of professional affiliations, Dr. Keen enjoys being involved with many charitable organizations, and taking on very challenging cases. Dr. Keen is a proud supporter of the Vista Del Mar center, the Ronald McDonald House for hospitalized children, the AMANDA Foundation, and the CHRYSALIS non-profit organization.
Dr. Keen has a vast celebrity clientele in the film, television and music industry, and enjoys his primary office location in beautiful Beverly Hills, California. With strict confidentiality, Dr. Keen has worked with numerous celebrities to enhance the aesthetics and health of their smile, and his work has been recognized and complimented in the media worldwide. Dr. Keen's work has been featured with honorable mention on t.v. shows such as Good Morning America and Jimmy Fallon Late Night. In addition, Dr. Keen has appeared as the dental expert on the CBS television show, The Doctors, and he has been featured as the dental specialist for CBS KCAL9 news.
Dr. Keen's has been interviewed by multiple literary agencies, and his expertise in aesthetic dentistry and smile design has led to publications in the media and The Huffington Post. In addition, Dr. Keen has been involved in creating dental special effects for hollywood feature films including Pirates of The Caribbean: "Dead Men Tell No Tales" and the film Armored. Dr. Keen maintains himself on the cutting edge with the latest technologies and materials in the field, to ensure that all of his patients receive the most advanced dental care available today.
Dr. Keen is a classically trained pianist, and an artist. Dr. Keen enjoys sculpture and the art of sketching. Because of his exceptional artistic abilities, Dr. Keen is able to provide all of his patients with the most outstanding cosmetic and restorative dentistry possible. Dr. Keen understands that beauty is subjective. Therefore, by listening to each of his patients, Dr. Keen can create the exact look that each individual patient desires. Dr. Keen then combines the highest level of art with the finest materials in dental science to provide unsurpassed results for each and every one of his patients.
